Applications

All of these applications are free to download and use unless otherwise stated.

BitTornado - A handy little bittorrent program that doesn't take up too many resources. Doesn't have a search engine integrated, but you won't need them with the list of sites I'm supplying under the Torrent Sites section ;)

File Zilla - A great FTP program I'm using to update this site.

Firefox - The only worthy web browser on the internet, chocked full of extensions, themes, and integrated search engines. If you don't like the way it comes stock, customize it to your heart's content.

Gaim - A handy open source instant messaging client, originally intended for Linux but works great with windows. You can run your MSN, yahoo, AIM, ICQ, jabber, etc accounts all the same time, alias people's names, fake your idle time, etc.

Limewire - A great peer to peer program, completely spyware and adware free, garunteed.

mIRC - Very basic IRC client with everything you need (not completely free, 30 day trial, send me a message at my aim account (corwindionysus) if this is annoying you). Click here to connect to Furnet.

Open Office - A great open source office suite, with most of the features that Microsoft Office makes money off of you from ;).

Skype - A net-to-phone client that you can connect to other people and voice chat over (you do have to pay for an account to call real phone lines, however).

The GIMP - A photoshop-like image editing program. Has all the basics.

Ventrilo - Similar to teamspeak, this is a multi-user voice chat program. Click here to connect to Typefrag.

Winamp - Definetly my favorite media player, if you have the right codecs it can play anything, and it takes up less resources than WMP or iTunes.

WinRAR - An archive program that definetly outdoes WinZip in amount of extensions it can cover.
